Extremely excited to escape the Blade Runner-esque hellscape of NYC and head to the very source of the smoke monster, Canada. Darius Jones and I return to Canada to play Suoni per il Popolo festival on the 13th with Angels & Demons, followed by the North American debut of my new duo meimei (மெய்மெய்) with pianist Ananya Ganesh on the 14th. This is one of my favorite festivals and I can’t wait to come back. After that, Ananya and I will head to Toronto for TONE Festival, curated by my dear friends Karen Ng and Tad Michalak.
